Market Your Web Site, Market Yourself

First impressions count.  Your Web Page may be that first impression.  First and foremost, it has to be an  effective Marketing Tool.  The main purpose of your web site is to sell you, your services or your products.  Unless it achieves these objectives, it isn’t doing its job.

Ask yourself these simple questions:

  • “Does my web site tell a visitor what I can do for him or her?”
  • “Does it clearly describe what I have to offer?”
  • “Does it tell him or her why to choose me, rather than a competitor?”
  • “In short, does it compel a visitor to use my products or services?”

If you can’t honestly say “Yes” in answer to each of these questions, maybe you need to rethink your marketing message.  Have you, in fact, decided on a clear message for your visitors?  Does that message come across loud and strong?  Does it offer a solution for your visitors’ problems?

On the other hand, if you can answer all of these questions with a resounding “Yes”, and your website still isn’t generating much business, then you need to ask:

  • “Am I  getting enough visitors?”
  • “Do I know how many visitors I’m getting?”
  • “Are they visiting the right pages and taking the actions I want?”

One excellent way to start driving visitors to your site is through links from other sites.  Are you taking advantage of free links from Web sites that focus on your area of interest?

Remember, even a simple site,  if well designed and properly optimized and marketed, can generate business 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  We offer full web site creation, hosting and search engine optimization services – contact us at website.services@professionalreferrals.net.
